Another sewage spill reported in Kalamazoo area - Feb 8th, 2013 - Local
— Authorities say another raw sewage spill has been reported in the Kalamazoo area.
About 1,000 gallons of untreated, raw sewage spilled on Thursday from a manhole on Kalamazoo's west side.
Officials say a blockage was removed shortly after the spill, which was cleaned up.
In January, officials reported at least three raw sewage spills in the Kalamazoo area. One was up to 1,500 gallons, another was at least 3,000 gallons and another was at least 300,000 gallons. Officials have said they don't expect any long-term damage from the spills.
