President begins Thursday at National Prayer Breakfast - Feb 7th, 2013 - National

President Barack Obama will speak at this morning's National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

Every president since Eisenhower has addressed the gathering.

An estimated 3000 people from 140 countries were expected at this 61st annual National Prayer Breakfast, including the president, Vice President Joe Biden and first lady Michelle Obama.

Congressman Mike McIntyre, a North Carolina Democrat, says it's a non-partisan event. McIntyre says, "We pray for God's blessing upon our nation, for his will to be done throughout the world, for his peace to dwell in all of us, his children."
