Water main break floods Grand Rapids neighborhood - Jan 23rd, 2013 - Local

— A water main break has caused a major headache for some homeowners in a Grand Rapids neighborhood.

Water began gushing through streets near Gladstone Drive SE and Adams Street sometime after midnight Wednesday. At least eight homes were flooded and some residents were evacuated on the city's southeast side.

Police and firefighters in the west Michigan community say a tree also fell in the gushing water, taking down power lines.

Utility crews were working to fix the problem.
