More car tires stolen from area dealers - Oct 12th, 2012 - Local

Ottawa County detectives say thieves continue to take tires and wheels from new vehicles at area dealerships and another incident took place in Coopersville. Thieves hit at least 15 vehicles at Betten-Baker Chevrolet Buick. They found at least 52 tires and rim sets were taken, which is valued to be around $50,000. The thieves appear to be the same ones who hit the Ed Koehn Ford Lincoln near Greenville. They took tire and wheel sets from 6 cars and stole a used cargo van. Detectives believe the criminals may be linked to similar thefts in Kent and other counties.
