Fatal glider crash in West Michigan - May 30th, 2012 - State
The North Super Regional Soaring Competition has been taking place at the Ionia County Airport. 2 of the gliders crashed Tuesday afternoon and one of the pilots died. No name has been released yet. Competitors say many were blown off course by the wind gusts which made landing difficult. The FAA will continue their investigation. The host organization says the event will continue through June 2nd.
