GRCC disappointed on vote outcome - May 9th, 2012 - Local

Tuesday was Election Day in Michigan.
Most communities were considering school related issues.
In the Grand Rapids area voters said NO to the proposal to provide more money for improvements for Grand Rapids Community College. The $96.6 million bond proposal went down to defeat 57% to 43%.
Grandville voters failed to pass a bond issue by only 38 votes.
Good news for the Northview School District as they asked voters again to pass a millage for improvements for their schools and this time it passed.
Other school districts that passed their school millage questions included: Holland, Lowell, and Kalamazoo.
In a non-school related issue, Hudsonville voters said NO to the idea of connecting their community with the RAPID bus service.
