Interesting night in baseball - May 9th, 2012 - Sports

The Detroit Tigers beat Seattle 6-4. Justin Verlander won his 12th straight decision on the road. In the third inning, manager Jim Leyland was ejected for arguing balls and strikes, and Verlander got into a heated exchange with plate umpire Brian Knight but still remained in the game.
The Tigers are without catcher Alex Avila until later this week as he aggravated his knee in Monday's game.

Former Tiger Brandon Inge hit a walk off grand slam homer for Oakland Tuesday night.

Also last night, Josh Hamilton homered 4 times and had 8 RBI's as Texas beat the Orioles 10-3. Hamilton's solo blast in the 8th made him the 16th player in major league homers to homer 4 times in a game.
