Polls open until 8pm this Election Day - May 8th, 2012 - Local
It is Election Day in Michigan.
Most questions on the ballot are geared to school related issues but some communities will vote on a handful of local issues.
Grand Rapids area voters will be asked to pass a tax hike to generate money for the next 20 years for Grand Rapids Community College. If the 3.5 mill increase passes the money will be used to upgrade facilities, improve technology, and for renovation and new construction projects.
Polls will remain open until 8 p.m.
