Start Garden winners announced - May 4th, 2012 - Local
The first winners have been selected as part of Rick DeVos' "Start Garden" venture capital project. Start Garden involves entrepreneurs competing with products that receive start up capital, starting at $5,000. On Thursday the Start Garden team announced their 2 winners: Click Plow (for snow removal) and NxMile Sport Insoles (designed for young athletes). The third idea was selected by visitors to the website and the winning idea is Dirty Water Beer. Profits from the beer sales go to fund fresh water wells in developing countries.
