8 year old girls skip school to steal - Apr 25th, 2012 - Local
Hastings Police say two 8-year-old girls skipped school and decided to walk around downtown stealing items from area stores.
The two stole about $250 dollars worth of small merchandise. They admitted to stealing when they got caught, but there was a lack of remorse and now the prosecutor will decide if charges will be filed.
Neither of the girls' parents were aware that their daughters were not in school until they were contacted by Childhood Protective Services.
