Mel Trotter Ministries celebrate grand opening - Apr 23rd, 2012 - Local
Mel Trotter Ministries of Grand Rapids will celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony today of their new Day Center and renovated Food Pantry.
The Day Center will provide shelter for up to 100 homeless men, women, and children at any given time.
The Food Pantry's renovations include increasing storage space for donated food and adding a refrigerated room.
On average, 161 households received food through the pantry each week last year.
