On Sunday, June 22, the second annual Chalk Flood Street Fair will take place along Monroe Center between Ionia Avenue and Division Avenue. The community will be encouraged to decorate the sidewalk and street along these blocks. 6.25 Paper Studio, and Gina’s Boutique, two Downtown businesses, along with Rays of Hope, a local non-profit organization, will host this event to support the Downtown neighborhood.
It will be free to the public and will encourage a wide audience to stop down for a fair-style event. Activities will begin at noon and last until 4 p.m. The Chalk Flood Street Fair will have food and music and will encourage attendees to cover their city in art. Adults and children will be able to compete to create the best work of art, and the winners will receive Downtown-themed prizes.
